Shân is a qualified teacher and has been a teacher trainer for many years, teaching and training teachers in many parts of the world. She first taught music and later English as a Foreign Language. 

In 1989 she became one of the first graduates of the Shiatsu College and is one of the Core Teachers of the London branch. Apart from teaching Shiatsu at the College she also teaches Anatomy for both the  London and Brighton branches. 

Her particular interest in how students learn has led her to develop materials specifically designed to make the theoretical aspects of the course easily accessible and to involve the students fully in the learning process. 

Shân is now a qualified teacher of Literacy & Dyslexia. She is also a Reiki master and many of the Shiatsu College students have followed Reiki courses with her, and have found that this enhances their perception of energy and complements their Shiatsu practice.
