The Shiatsu College Post Graduate course was first taught in 1991, as an opportunity for the founding teachers of the Shiatsu College to collaborate in an advanced training programme for Shiatsu professionals.
Since 1991 we have taught a range of students, including principals of Shiatsu schools in both Europe and the USA, and practitioners ranging from new graduates to those with decades of experience.
The one-year course consists of two 6-day residential courses. The 2002/2003 course is already fully booked but we are now accepting enrolment for the 2003/2004 course.

We have completely reviewed the course and improved it in the following ways:
  • New course structure minimising travel time & expense, and maximising integration of the material

  • More advanced energy work

  • New expanded course manual

  • New home study programme between workshops to help you consolidate the material

  • More comfortable venue with improved food

  • Venue more accessible to main road and rail networks

  • Reduced annual fee, as the course is spread over two calendar years

The objective of the course is to provide you with an opportunity to develop clinical effectiveness in Shiatsu by integration and application of theory, diagnostic skills and advanced techniques.

We have evolved the course structure to provide a mixture of individual tuition, class time and work in small groups, so that we can best tailor the course to your specific needs.

One of the benefits of the new course structure is that in between Parts One and Two you will have a year to work with the material you have studied. You will be able to support your studies by set reading, written assignments and preparation of case histories, so that you can consolidate and integrate your study.

The Shiatsu College policy is to maintain a low student/teacher ratio to ensure careful individual supervision of each student.

The course will be presented by these highly respected, international teachers:

Cliff Andrews

Carola Beresford-Cooke

Paul Lundberg

Nicola Pooley

Dinah John
